Advanced Helicopter Trainer

Engineered to be the next generation Navy trainer.

From the skids up, the TH-119 offers all of the attributes of a versatile advanced rotary wing training aircraft: The superior performance margin allows students to make mistakes and not jeopardize their safety or the aircraft, while being forgiving enough for the most basic and essential helicopter flight maneuvers such as hovering and autorotations.

The TH-119 is an evolution of our very popular and successful AW109 light twin helicopter. The TH-119 maintains several of the redundant systems found in an IFR capable twin engine helicopter but with single engine efficiency. The TH-119 is a class-leading aircraft developed to enhance safety and provide an exceptional training platform. It offers high productivity and performance at a competitive price.

TH-119 for Naval Advanced Rotary Wing Training
Naval aviation is an uncompromising environment so a training aircraft needs to be up to the task. The TH-119’s superior performance margin allows students to make mistakes without jeopardizing their safety or the aircraft — the TH-119 is forgiving enough for the most basic flight maneuvers such as hovering. Plus its durable fuselage design easily withstands the stress of full-contact auto-rotations which help to build essential flight survival skills.  The aircraft is capable of performing full touchdown autorotations up to maximum gross take-off weight.
